Transfer students admitted to the UCI Faculty of Law after completing the first year of the Faculty of Law at another ABA-accredited law faculty must meet the UCI Law requirements for graduation or its substantial equivalents. The Associate Dean of Student Services decides whether teaching at another law school is sufficient to meet the law school`s graduation requirements and, if not, what courses a transferred student must take to graduate. A student entering law school as a transfer student must meet the graduation requirements that apply to the expected class of graduates they are joining. To be eligible for the transfer, a student must have completed at least 28 credit units from another ABA-accredited law school. The UCI Faculty of Law accepts a maximum of 29 transfer units.
